งานแถลงข่าวโครงการความสัมพันธ์ประชาชนไทย – กัมพูชา

จากปีที่แล้วได้มีการจัดตั้งคณะกรรมการความร่วมมือเพื่อความสัมพันธ์ ประชาชนไทย – กัมพูชา( Khmer‐Thai People Relationship Building – KTPR) เพื่อทำงานรณรงค์และส่งเสริมสันติภาพและความสามัคคีระหว่างประชาชนทั้งสอง ประเทศ ผ่านการจัดกิจกรรมระหว่างประชาชนสู่ประชาชน ถึงแม้จะอยู่ท่ามกลางวิกฤติความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างรัฐบาลทั้ง 2 ประเทศ และสถานการณ์การละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยชนอันเลวร้ายในพื้นที่ชายแดน แต่งานของเรายังคงต้องเดินหน้าต่อไป

มูลนิธิศักยภาพชุมชน(People’s Empowerment Foundation – PEF) จากประเทศไทย และ Buddhist Khmer Society Network(BKSN) จากประเทศกัมพูชา 2องค์กรหลักในคณะกรรมการความร่วมมือเพื่อความสัมพันธ์ประชาชนไทย-กัมพูชา ได้ร่วมกันจัดกิจกรรมเพื่อฟื้นฟูสันติภาพและความเป็นอันหนึ่งอันเดียวกัน ระหว่างประชาชนทั้งสองประเทศ

งานแถลงข่าวจะจัดขึ้นตามกิจกรรมที่ได้มีการจัดขึ้นทัั้งในกรุงพนมเปญ ประเทศกัมพูชา และในประเทศไทย เพื่อที่จะเผยแพร่ข้อมูลการเคลื่อนไหวทางการเมืองตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน, เพื่อเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประชาชนสองฝากฝั่งให้เข้มแข็ง, เพื่อส่งเสริมให้สังคมรับฟังเสียงของประชาชนคนธรรมดา และเพื่อเรียกร้องสันติภาพและความสงบสุขให้กลับคืนมาในพื้นที่ชายแดนระหว่าง ทั้งสองประเทศ

กิจกรรมนี้จัดขึ้นเพื่อจะนำเสนอผลที่ได้จากการจัดกิจกรรมที่ผ่านมา

Since last year, the Joint committee for Khmer‐Thai People Relationship Building (KTPR) was set up and has worked to promote pea

ce and harmony between the people of Cambodia and Thailand through people‐to‐people activities. With the relationship between the two nations deteriorating and the human rights situation at the border also getting worse, it is time to continue our calls for peace and harmony at the border between the two countries.

Two key organizations of the KTPR, People’s Empowerment Foundation (PEF) Thailand and the Buddhist Khmer Society Network (BKSN) Cambodia, have organized a series of events to restore peace and harmony between the two nations.

This press conference will follow four days of activities in both Phnom Penh and Thailand to share information on past and present political movements and actions, to strengthen positive relationships between Cambodian and Thai people, to promote the voices of the people, and to call for peace and respect for human rights at the border.

This event will be held to share the output of these activities with foreign
friends and media.
